Assist the Workplace Operations Administrator to maintain an inventory of all parts and materials used by Facility Management and outside customers in the building and structure maintenance, remodeling, and upgrading. Ensures proper handling and storage of wide variety of construction and building materials according to NC Building Codes, Tribal Safety Guidelines, and In-house standards.
- Assist the Workplace Operations Administrator in maintaining an inventory of all parts used by Facility Management and Public Works.
- Assist on monitoring levels of inventory and reorder materials and parts needed, following established Tribal TERO and other applicable guidelines.
- Assist on scheduling and staging delivery of materials and parts according to current project listing according to management directives.
- Responds to emergencies 24/7, as needed.
- Receive and record materials and parts, processing them according to inventory procedures; examine deliveries to verify accuracy to specifications of order; then, stores materials and parts in proper storage locations and appropriate manner.
- Assist forwarding invoices, purchase orders, damaged goods reports and other pertinent inventory or stock information to program accounts payable.
- Assist with the distribution of materials and parts needed for daily job assignments; delivers to a variety of work sites utilizing departmental vehicles and, exchanges or replaces deficient materials, parts or omitted items.
- Supervise unloading procedures and assists in unloading trucks, as required, utilizing the forklift or Lull.
- Assist in daily inspection of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed; checking belts, hoses, fluid levels, etc.; correcting any minor malfunctions; and reporting any items needing service to Workplace Operations Administrator and Management.
- Assist the Workplace Operations Administrator with monthly inspections on vehicles with the upkeep of tools assigned to each employee for Facility Management & Public Works.
- Perform job duties according to Tribal, State, and Federal guidelines, including but not limited to OSHA and NC Building Codes.
- Perform pre-use check of equipment, which includes checking oil, belts, chains, and visual inspections of equipment to ensure that it is safe to operate.
- Dress out with appropriate safety gear such as safety vest, hardhat, gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection prior to the start of the project.
This position is supervised by program leadership. This position is not responsible for supervising others.
Experience:Â 1 year of related experience required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
Licenses & Certifications: Valid, insurable NC Driver's License required.
