Performs varied skilled electrical and maintenance procedures within the Tribal Facility Management Systems. Assists throughout the department as needed with projects and performing related work. Also will maintain and service all Tribal Emergency shelters and commercial Generators.
- Receives instructions on assigned projects and makes an assessment of materials, parts, equipment, and cost estimates.
- Arranges for the purchase of necessary parts, materials, and equipment to perform needed work.
- Performs general electrical duties within the Facility Management systems, which would include such procedures as new construction/installations and repairs.
- Performs duties which typically include: replacement of light switches and breakers; installation, replacement, or repair of electrical fixtures and/or new electrical service; wiring of either new or remodeled structures; and wiring or repairing of systems.
- Maintains and services all generators within all Tribal Emergency shelters, and all Tribal Commercial generators on the boundary.
- Maintains daily log of activities and prepares written reports of same as required.
- Performs duties according to established safety procedures and Tribal Policy.
This position is supervised by program leadership. This position is not responsible for supervising others.
Experience: Two (2) years of related experience required. Experience to include verifiable employment in Commercial Electrical work and Commercial Generators.
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
Licenses & Certifications: Valid, insurable NC Driver’s License required. Must possess certification in the Electrical field and in Commercial Generators.
